Dr. Luigi Rodino

Luigi Rodino is professor of Mathematical Analysis in the Dipartimento di Matematica, Università di Torino, Italy. After graduating at the University of Torino (1971), he completed his education at the University of Lund and the Mittag-Leffler Institute (Sweden 1973-75), under the supervision of L.Hormander, and then in the University of Princeton (USA 1975-76) under the supervision of J.J.Kohn. His research activity is addressed to the theory of the pseudo-differential operators, understood in a very broad sense embracing harmonic analysis, functional analysis aspects, operator theory and algebras, partial differential equations, geometry, mathematical physics and novel applications in engineering, geophysics and medical sciences. In this field, Rodino is author of about 130 papers and 5 monographies, and edited 14 volumes of proceedings.
