Abstract
The present experiment was conducted with the aim to find out the effect of foliar application of nano urea on the growth, yield and economics of custard apple (Annona squamosa L.) CV. Sindhan. The field experiment was conducted at the College of Horticulture, Sardarkrushinagar Dantiwada Agricultural University, Jagudan, Dist. Mehsana (Gujarat) from June to December 2024. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments and three replications. The effect of recommended dose of fertilizers (RDF) and foliar spray of different concentrations of nano urea on growth parameters was found to be non-significant. In respect of yield parameters, the results of the experiment revealed that, maximum number of fruits per tree (95.69), weight of fruit (204.07 g), diameter of fruit (7.50 cm), yield per tree (18.27 kg), yield per hectare (5.06 t) were recorded in the treatment T4 i.e.100 per cent recommended dose of nitrogen (RDN) + 0.5 per cent Nano urea. In respect of economics, the results of the study revealed that the maximum gross returns (202400₹/ha), net returns (119302₹/ha) and Benefit Cost Ratio (2.44) was also recorded in the treatment T4 as compared to the control.
