Dr. Thapa received M.Sc. from Tribhuban University in 1997, M.A. from University of Oklahoma in 2003, and M.Ed and Ph.D. from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. His Ph.D. thesis is on parameter estimation for damped sine-Gordon equation with Neumann boundary conditions. Currently Dr. Thapa is working at Department of Mathematics Minot State University ND, USA as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Thapa was awarded a project NExT fellowship by Mathematical Association of America. Dr. Thapa received a grant from Educational Advancement Foundation (EAF). In addition, he received grant form Minot State University. Dr. Thapa served as a judge for undergraduate research competition at AMS and MAA meetings several times. Dr. Thapa's current researches focus on Nonlinear Functional Analysis, Ordinary Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Modeling and Parameter Estimation, Optimization, Inverse Problems and Nonlinear Dynamical Systems. He has published many papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented several talks at meeting of American Mathematical Society and Mathematical Association of America.
